Performing
Three roles, one calling.
Adán performs as organist, harpsichordist, and conductor. The thread through all three is the music of the Church, and in particular the sacred music of Latin America.
Organ
Recitals and residencies on instruments from parish lofts to concert halls. Bach and the German baroque, the French symphonists, Liszt, Messiaen, and living American composers, and concerto appearances with the New West Symphony, the Westlake Village Orchestra, and the Symphony of the Verdugos. Second Prize at the International Liszt Organ Competition; a fellow of the Oregon Bach Festival Organ Institute under Paul Jacobs.
Harpsichord & early music
Continuo and solo work with Hortus Musicus, with a particular interest in the Spanish and Latin American baroque. In 2025 he directed the villancicos of Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla from the harpsichord, the first time those works had been heard in three hundred years.
Conducting
Choral and orchestral conducting, from the parish choirs and the youth orchestra he founded to guest engagements such as the Requiem for St. Oscar Romero at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Conducting Fellow with the Kansas City Chorale.
